Clement and Rachel have joined the group!
Clement Dunn and Rachel Bier have joined the group for Summer 2026 as part of the Physics Department’s REU site program at Lehigh University. Clement joins us from Northwestern University and will be working on designing custom direct digital synthesizers radio-frequency generation. Rachel joins us from Wellesley College and wll be working on designing bitter-style electromagnets for generation of tunable magnetic fields for addressing Feshbach resonances. Welcome Rachel and Clement! We are happy to have you here!
Sylvester has joined the group!
Sylvester Mbam has joined the group for Summer 2026 as part of the PHY 491 program. Sylvester is a PhD student in th Physics Department. He will be working on calculating topologial properties of Floquet-engineered optical lattices. Welcome Sylvester!
Alivia and Niko have graduated!
Congratulations to both Alivia and Niko for graduating! Niko will be joining IBM as a Quantum Hardware Test Engineer and Alivia will be joining the Naval Nuclear Laboratory as a Nuclear Engineer & Physicist. We wish them both the best of luck and hope they come back to visit us!
Kenneth has joined the group!
Kenneth Emmanuel has joined the group! Kenneth is a MsC sudent in Photonics Engineering at Lehigh University. He got his BsC in Computer Engineering at Convenant University, Nigeria and a MsC in ECE at the Technological University in Dublin Ireland. Kenneth will be working on calculating exotic and custom beam generation for atom trapping and cooling. Welcome Kenneth!

Yuedong Xu has joined the group! Yuedong is an undergraduate student in the Physcs Department. Yuedong will be building optical shutters for high extinction ratio control of laser beams. Welcome Yuedong!

Nikolas Cruz has joined the group! Niko is an undergraduate student in both the Physics Department in the College of Arts and Sciences and also the Electrical Engineering Department in the Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science. He will be working on designing and constructing RF control electronics. Welcome Niko!

Cora is getting situated at Lehigh, and research activities will begin soon! Lab renovations are underway and a temporary lab space has been acquired.
